I love the replicator analogy. It's gonna get kinda weird! But also awesome.

By the way, my partner (girlfriend of 15 years) fed me a cricket-flour cookie once. It wasn't bad, but I felt violated!

It is gonna get weird but that's ok, I like weird and I don't fear the future. I look forward to it. Crickets aren't bad, but I understand feeling violated.

I legit look forward to a good "stem cell burger" when it's ready and cheap. I could gross everyone out by just telling them about it! But I also think it's a very sensible bridge between meat and non-meat, or rather between the present factory farming/commoditization/torture that yields today's supermarket meat, and some far-flung future where we just have magic replicators.

Although honestly, if we can skip straight to the replicators? I'm down!

If we can one day get rid of factory farming by using lab-created protein then I'm all for it, and I would definitely be trying that "stem cell burger".

There will probably be a lot of resistance from "fine dining", right? But we'll get past that over time.

Seems like the innovative ones will put the ethics front and center. I bet they succeed, too.

Informative, and again good food for thought!
