All of these are fantastic, less Nope. I tried to like it, but I couldn't find a reason to personally enjoy it. I have a really hard time with alien horror flicks if they aren't done a certain way. The wife and I just watched No One Will Save You last night on Hulu and while there were some good parts, the movie fell really flat and had a lot of inconsistencies. The Fourth Kind was a killer alien horror movie though!

The Fourth Kind is completely terrifying.

Annihilation is a great more recent scifi horror. Love that you have Nope on the list.

Great picks! What do you think of The Cabin in the Woods? I guess I like the comedy/horror/sci fi elements.

The Cabin in the Woods is awesome, I really do enjoy the horror/comedy/sci-fi as well. Ya know the whole Evil Dead thing.

Splice is very underrated!

And, of course, The Thing is the greatest of all time, I think.

For me, They Live is visually hilarious but the social commentary makes it kind of frightening.

The Thing does hold up incredibly well. I do find that some of those old-school special effects still look great!
