Well said. We are not allowed to bring vulnerabilities or illness to work. Work mates and bosses use it against you in my experience. My kid loves cooking. But refuses to get into the business of cooking or becoming a chef because of the pressures in that profession. But decent people should look out for each other. Thank you this.

You are certainly correct. Descent people should help one another. Its a shame we do not see it though as much as we used to. I worked both in the culinary world and healthcare. I have seen and felt the stress that can come with this work. And, I also have heard managers say we needed to leave our problems at home.

Exactly Diane. The issue is that colleagues are scared to stand up fir each most if the time in case they miss out or out of fear of managers and bosses.

I really don't know about some of the folks I used to work with. I'm 100% confident some of them are long dead now, quite possibly due to mental illness exacerbated by the restaurant biz.
